Car Illustration

For this illustration I drew my inspiration from a custom Kia Soul made to raise awareness for the DC Comics "We Can Be Heroes" campaign . The background for the illustration was inspired by the design of the Green Lantern Corps home planet Oa in the live action film.

Portrait Illustration

I wanted to create a portrait using Prismacolor markers and pencil. I drew a little inspiration from the TV show "All in the Family" and chose Carroll O'Connor for this project. I have always loved the character Archie Bunker and I thoroughly enjoyed illustrating the wonderful actor that portrayed him.

Heartsick Novel Cover

I created the Heartsick novel cover and inside cover illustrations for fun when a friend of mine was describing the book to me in great detail (I never got around to actually reading it...). It is a bit of a gruesome story and I believe this cover suits it very well. I created this project using both digital and traditional art methods.

Tech N9ne Poster

This project was for my concept illustration class. I had to create an 11x17 poster and a 6x6 CD cover for Guitar Hero.  I decided to use one one my favorite hip hop artists Tech N9ne for this project. Tech N9ne’s rap style is usually very fast and sometimes sporadic. I used a photo of Tech yelling and thrusting his hands out because it is attention grabbing. The overall design is meant to throw itself at you like Tech often does. I included the Strange Music logo in the background because it is the music label that he founded. The color pallet is limited an colorful to represent the several club and party hits that Tech has released.  I drew inspiration from Tech N9ne’s music and his other album artwork and posters.
